In accordance with NAVHDA’s sanctioned testing program, the Rapid NAVHDA Chapter offers three levels of testing aimed at assessing versatile hunting dogs in an environment that reflects actual hunting conditions. Each dog is individually reviewed in multiple field settings, by three judges, assessing the expression of important qualities of a versatile hunting dog.

Test entry fees are based on whether or not the person running a dog in the test is volunteering to be a working handler, will be running as a non-working handler or is a youth handler (under the age of 19).

A working handler is someone who volunteers to help out during their testing weekend for at least one FULL day of the event that is not the day they are testing a dog. To qualify for this lower fee, you must designate ahead of the test which day you will be volunteering and based on a list of tasks, what you are able to complete. A list of tasks will be shared ahead of the event by the test day coordinator.
